Job Description
Salem State University is seeking adjunct professors with experience teaching dance in higher education. Teaching assignments include dance technique classes in modern, hip hop, ballet, and/or other genres. Additional lecture courses include dance appreciation, hip hop dance history, teaching dance, and dance entrepreneurship, with additional subjects depending upon the expertise of the candidate and needs of the program. The dance program at SSU consists of a dance major, minor, and general education courses.

Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree
- Teaching experience
- Professional experience in the dance field including performing, choreographing, and/or administrative
- Demonstrated commitment to collaboration and collegiality
- Experience and dedication to teaching, supervision, and advising
Preferred Qualifications:
- Appropriate terminal degree
- College-level teaching experience
- Experience teaching a multicultural population
- Strength and potential for excellence and leadership in community engagement and university services
